Say hi to the newest Thai dessert in town, Coco Made. Their signature menu is the Coconut Pocket with 3 different flavors—OG Pandan, Ube Mochi, and Pandan Gula Aren Konjac—to choose from.

I visited Coco Made first ever pop-up event in Jakarta at First Crack Coffee Tamananda Park last weekend to try the Thai dessert that has went viral in Bangkok in recent months. If you’ve been to Bangkok or did research on popular Thai desserts recently, there’s a good chance you’ve came across this dessert before. I decided to try all the three flavors just to see which ones I like best.

OG Pandan (28k for 2 pcs/45k for 4 pcs)

First up is the OG Pandan. The classic combination of the Pandan Custard and Fresh Coconut Meat tastes nyummy with familiar flavors reminiscence of the local snacks I grew up with. Out of the three flavors, this ranks number two on my list.

Ube Mochi (30k for 2 pcs/48k for 4 pcs)

Crispy Pocket, Soft Chewy Pocket, Ube Custard, Ube Paste, Ube Mochi, Fresh Coconut Meat.

The second flavor that I tried was the Ube Mochi. It’s not too sweet, pretty balanced flavors and the combination of the various toppings really creates a fun texture contrast when you bite into it. The Ube Mochi is my favorite out of all the three flavors.

Pandan Gula Aren Konjac (30k for 2 pcs/48k for 4 pcs)

Crispy Pocket, Soft Chewy Pocket, Gula Aren Custard, Gula Aren Konjac Pearls, Fresh Coconut Meat.

If you’re a sweet tooth, you’ll probably enjoy Pandan Gula Aren Konjac. This one’s the sweetest out of the three, but the combination of Gula Aren Custard, Konjac Pearls and fresh coconut meat still works well together. I also imagine this one probably pairs well with a cup of coffee.

If you want to try these Coconut Pockets, this week is the last week of their pop-up so go visit them at First Crack Coffee Tamananda Park. They’re going to be there from tomorrow until Monday (Aug 17).
