Three Broomsticks

September 25, 2014 by greysuitcase in Food, Travel

For lunch, we went to Three Broomsticks. This rustic tavern serves pretty good food I may say. We ordered their Spareribs Platter, Fish and Chips, and Rotisserie Smoked Chicken Platter and they were all good. And oh, loved the interior of the place.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

September 22, 2014 by greysuitcase in Travel

Continuing with our Universal Studio adventure, this was probably my favorite part of the trip, visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. YAY! I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter series and practically grew up waiting for each book to come out. So I'm totally psyched being able to visit this part of the park. I think they really did a great job making the set and there were so many details to look at. And it's kind of fascinating too to see how they interpret all the things and places from the book and how they're different from what I've imaged in my head all these time.

We started with riding the rides and then kinda just roamed around the area sight-seeing the shops. Anyway, I have plenty of photos so I'm breaking the posts down to three parts. So here's the first set of the photos :)

To be continued to part two...

Universal's Islands of Adventure

September 13, 2014 by greysuitcase in Travel

For our day two of our theme parks hopping, we continued exploring Universal Studios by visiting the Islands of Adventure park. The weather was gorgeous, blue sky, warmer temperature. Combined that with the colors on Seuss Landing, this was one of my favorite spot during the trip. Seuss Landing is sooo colorful. Makes you happy just by being in that place :)

Then, we went to the Marvel Super Hero Island where they have the more crazier rides. I hate heights, so I didn't really go on much of the rides. But my sisters, they're more into those stuff and rode some crazy ones. I don't know how they do it.

Universal Studios Florida

September 10, 2014 by greysuitcase in Travel

The day after we arrived in Orlando, we visited Universal Studios Florida. The weather was pretty cold, but not that cold, compared to the snow storm that was happening in the east coast. But it was definitely colder than the usual weather. Since we went after the New Year celebration, the Christmas decorations were still up on the theme parks. I totally loved the feel of the holiday season. Lining up for rides during holiday season was another thing tho. Since school was still out, the park was pretty crowded and you had to wait at least 1 hour for rides. The Despicable Me ride was the craziest, I think the wait time was 4 hours or so. We kinda skipped the long waits rides and opted for the shorter one and just explored the parks with the time we had.

Niagara Falls

March 15, 2014 by greysuitcase in Food, Travel

Toronto Day 3. We drove to Niagara Falls to see one of the most famous attractions in the world. I've seen Niagara Falls from the US side, but not the Canada side. It took us almost 3 hours to get there with no traffic on the way. We arrived in early afternoon, so we took a stroll around the nearby area since we have time to kill before an early dinner reservation at Napoli Ristorante.

After dinner's done, we walked towards the falls while looking at the stores along the way. The area was pretty packed with families and children. The sun is almost setting then, so it wasn't too hot.

When it started to get dark, we made our way back to our car, passing by the shops area again. One of the things that you must try is apparently the Beaver Tails. At first I didn't know what it was, but turned out, it's something that I've tried before (or at least I think it tasted similar). J knows it at Beaver Tails. I know it as Elephant Ear (my friends in Seattle introduced me to the food). The taste is very similar. The two could well be the same thing as far as I'm concerned.
